first time trying the banyan tree due to a recommendation. i love to try new dishes everywhere i go. i asked the waiter, who was also the owner, what he would recommend. i can’t remember the name of the dish but it was lamb with caramelised onions, and it did not disappoint! the tastiest lamb curry i have ever tasted - and i have tasted a fair few! the service was incredible too - so polite and friendly. will definitely be back.

Booked the venue for a friend's birthday, in which collectively had an amazing time. Food was exquisite with wonderful service including a gluten intolerance considered. Highly recommend, specially the lamb kholapuri.

Outstanding indian food, relaxed atmosphere, and excellent service by the new owner.

Very impressed with the food here, everything was very flavourful, portion sizes was just perfect for 2 of us and a great reliable place for Indian cuisine!

Wow what a lovely Indian restaurant, the food here is honestly the best Indian i have ever tasted. I recommend to anyone that enjoys indian cuisine to chrck this place out. With a new owner ensuring that he returns this delight of a place back to its deserved glory. Celebrating and promoting good quality fresh food partnered with amazing service. It was such a delight then the bill came with an unexpected discount to promote the new ownership but I would have gladly paid full price. Thanks for a lovely meal... wish I was local to visit time and again. To all that are looking to try this place out be sure to get the gunpowder cauliflower floret starter so tasty

Came in for lunch today with 2 other people. It was empty and were the only people there during lunch. Great atmosphere for us! We come here regularly with family so food was lovely as usual. We would definitely recommend their biryani! We had lamb and chicken and they were cooked so well, the lamb was soft and chicken tikka packed a punch of flavours. I had Massala Dosa and it was great. We ate everything and we we’re definitely full afterwards as the portion sizes are big enough. Price is not too bad, considering the portion sizes it’s great.

Amazing food, off the beaten track in terms of menu which was amazing, too often you get the same in curry houses so it was nice to have a different variety and it made a great difference, new flavours, new mixtures of flavours for the pallet. Very well hosted and very well run. 100% recommend and will certainly visit again if I'm in the area.

Went last night after a graduation and it was lovely. There's a new owner who couldn't have been a better host. Service was brilliant and the food was fantastic. There was even a cocktails special menu on with a deal so we saved a bit of money too which is always a bonus. If I'm in the area again I'll be eating here for dinner!
